Environmental and Social Support for Offshore Tamar-Dalit Gas Discoveries, Noble Energy

In association with Finkel & Finkel Consulting Engineers, Ltd. (Israel), and CSA International, Inc. (USA), AATA served as an environmental management consultant for Noble Energy, providing assistance with environmental and social baseline studies, Social and Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA), and data gap analysis for the Tamar-Dalit Offshore Gas Development Project.  Other tasks included a comprehensive overview of the Israeli environmental regulatory system applicable to oil and gas industry operations with particular emphasis on explaining the entire licensing and permitting process to petroleum companies that explore for and/or exploit hydrocarbon deposits within Israel.  This includes offshore waters; air emissions regulatory review discussing methods by which regulatory authorities in Israel might regulate various emissions from Noble Energy planned gas processing facility and performance standards that may be applied to the facility’s major emission sources; comprehensive review of waste management options for major emission sources; comprehensive review of waste management options for gas processing facility discussing the Israeli regulatory system for industrial wastes and potential disposal options for anticipated waste streams that will be produced; and a review of water management requirements for storm water runoff form the Noble Energy planned gas processing facility.
