Himpurna California Energy, Ltd. and California Energy Company Dieng Geothermal Project, Central Java, Indonesia
AATA serves as the principal Environmental Management and Permitting Contractor for this large geothermal power exploration and development project located in the Dieng Plateau region of Central Java. Provided management and coordination of ITB auditing, UKL/UPL, RKL/RKL, and AMDAL activities. Responsible for management of the AMDAL process, including creation of workable environmental management and monitoring plans.
Patuha Power Ltd. and California Energy Company Patuha Geothermal Project, West Java, Indonesia
AATA serves as the principal Environmental Management and Permitting Contractor for this greenfields geothermal power exploration and development project located in the Mt. Patuha region, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Provided management and coordination of ITB baseline investigations, UKL/UPL, RKL/RPL, and AMDAL activities. Responsible for management of the AMDAL process, including creation of workable environmental management and monitoring plans.
P.T. Newmont Nusa Tenggara and Newmont Mining Corporation Batu Hijau Copper/Gold Mining Project, Sumbawa, Indonesia
AATA served as a principal Environmental Management and Technical consultant for this large copper/gold mining complex in Sumbawa, Indonesia. Provided review of environmental baseline investigations, environmental management planning, and integrated physical, chemical, and biological modeling of waste discharges to the Indian Ocean. Set up field laboratory capabilities for analysis of degradable parameters such as COD/BOD, bacteria, and other water quality parameters.
Mission Energy Company, Irvine, California PT Adaro Coal Mine Due Diligence Project, Kalimantan, Indonesia
AATA conducted an environmental due diligence analysis of the PT Adaro coal mining project in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Traveled to the mine site located north of Banjarmasin, Kalimantan, and investigated all of the operations pertinent to the coal mining program. Groundlevel and aerial investigations of the mine, maintenance, haul road, river load out, river transport route, camps, and ocean loadout areas were conducted. A detailed environmental due diligence report was prepared.
Freeport Indonesia, Inc Expeditions 1-6 - Environmental River, Delta, and Ocean Studies
Program Manager for interdisciplinary environmental assessment of mill tailings discharge upon downstream freshwater, estuarine, marine and semi-aquatic environments, West Papua, Indonesia. Project logistics; equipment procurement and mobilization; sampling design and implementation; data analysis and interpretation; report preparation including ecological impact assessment. Project was unique in that it involved environmental assessment activities over a continuum from near an equatorial glacier to a tropical marine system.
Freeport Indonesia, Inc. Long-term Environmental Monitoring Program (LTEMP)
Program Manager responsible for design, installation, and operation of LTEMP at FII mine and mill operations, West Papua, Indonesia. Hydrological and meteorological monitoring systems were designed using the latest solid-state data loggers and installed at strategic locations from sea level to +12,000 feet elevation. A unique feature of the LTEMP is the use of ultrasonic sensors for river stage and sea level monitoring.
OPIC Dieng Geothermal Environmental Audit Program
AATA performed Environmental Audit in OPIC Dieng Gethermal Field, Central Java. Inspected the entire geothermal field operations, checked all the production and injection wells, the power plant and its cooling system, incinerator plant, pipe lines, road, and the field environmental situation such as potato and vegetable farm fields, villages, drainage system, and its lakes.
Tangguh Pertamina-BP Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) Program, Tangguh LNG Project, West Papua, Indonesia
AATA serves as the Onshore Coordinator for the this large grassroots LNG project. AATA conducted environmental base line studies in the dry and rainy seasons in Pertamina-BP Tangguh liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in West Papua. Worked with the Indonesian scientists terrestrial team (ITB, Padjadjaran University, and Bogor Agricultural Institute-IPB). Conducted sampling surveys on shore and near shore, related to soils, geology, aquatic and terrestrial ecology, surface and ground water hydrology and water quality, set up field laboratory capabilities for analysis of water quality parameters, COD/BOD, bacteria, and other parameters. QA/QC of the field efforts. Member of the Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) team writing reports; write, translate, and edit the terrestrial team reports regarding vegetation, surface and ground water and air quality sections. Contribute to the development of formal and informal presentations of data, analysis, and interpretation information.
ExxonMobil Cepu Project, Central and Eastern Java, Indonesia
AATA served as the principal Western environmental manager for the development of the Terms of Reference for the Cepu Oil Development Project, Central and Eastern Java, Indonesia. Worked with key local and international staff to organize the preparation of the TOR for the AMDAL environmental permitting process in Indonesia.
Mobil Oil Indonesia, Arun Field, Water Quality Management Program, Sumatra, Indonesia
AATA served as the principal water quality consultant to Mobil Oil Indonesia to study the causes and effects of stormwater discharges from the pads of the Arun Gas Project, Sumatra, Indonesia. Sampling, analysis, and modeling of ammonia and other water quality parameters in the receiving waters downstream of the pads were performed. Detailed modifications were made in the operations and monitoring of the local operations.
PT Newmont Minahasa Raya, Water Quality Modeling Program, Sulawesi, Indonesia
AATA provided detailed water quality modeling support for the evaluation of the marine discharges of mill tailings to the bottom of the ocean. Various modeling approaches were utilized to help predict dispersion, fate, transport, temperature, and effects of offshore mill tailings discharges to the receiving waters.
